It's been really hard trying to decide what to say in this post.
I'm not very good at this sort of thing normally, and especially today, but I felt that I should explain why you haven't heard from me so much recently, and why you may not for a little while yet.
My lovely mum died yesterday after fighting a losing battle over the last few weeks with pneumonia and then complications which set in. She fought so hard, so bravely, but this time luck was not on her side.
I will be back, but just not yet.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss - I know how you feel going through something very similar almost exactly a year a go. I'm approaching the first anniversary and my heart goes out to you. I can't say anything that will help or make the pain less, just don't feel you're alone - you're in my thoughts and the thoughts of everyone who knows you.
ReplyDeleteEverything you do must be based on what feels right for you - take your time to get through this awful time.

Sorry to hear this Susie, it must be so very hard losing your mother. She looks beautiful and must have been a lovely person as she shares the same birthday as CT.
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to hear such sad news. There are many of us thinking of you and wishing you well.
ReplyDeleteOh Susie, I'm so sorry - I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling. I have always loved this quote: 'say not in grief that she is no more, but in thankfulness that she was'. Although she was taken from this Earth far too early, I'm sure you have hundreds of memories to be grateful for and to hang on to that will help you through the sad times. Thinking of you at this time and hoping you have some good baking friends nearby who can bake you up lots of delicious cake right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Susie. Will be thinking of you and your family, take all the time you need x

ReplyDeleteIt's been a long and hard few weeks, and I have a difficult week ahead as we approach the funeral. But there is much to cherish and fondly remember.
